Seven New Dialysis Centers to Be Set Up Across Andhra Pradesh
The NDA government is set to establish seven new dialysis centers across the state of Andhra Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP). According to the announcement, the new centers will come up at S. Kota (Vizianagaram), Bhimavaram (West Godavari), Pileru (Chittoor), Seethampeta (Parvathipuram Manyam), Venkatagiri (SPSR Nellore), Addanki (Bapatla), and Sunnipenta (Nandyal). AP BJP Chief P.V.N. Madhav welcomed the move, stating that the initiative would significantly strengthen healthcare services for kidney patients across the state. Each center will be equipped with three state-of-the-art dialysis machines worth ₹75 lakh, enabling treatment for 15 patients daily across three sessions. With the addition of these facilities, the total number of dialysis centers in Andhra Pradesh will rise from 232 to 239. Officials also confirmed that the S. Kota and Seethampeta centers are nearing completion, reflecting the government’s continued efforts to improve public healthcare and ensure better medical access for people in rural and urban regions alike.
